OK folks, I know we’re taking our time getting the episode out, and I’m sorry to say its still not done… but I do have some news:

I was able to get my hands on an HP Touchpad at the massively discounted price.

So what does that mean? It means I am one step closer to starting a major project I plan on documenting on the show…

And, I’m not just plugging the damn thing into my AUX jack…

ALSO, The New Tech just had an earthquake and a hurricane within a week of each other! The earthquake didn’t damage anything, but the hurricane blew some things around.

During the storm part of Matt’s soffit blew loose and insulation was raining down upon the yard with great vengeance and furious anger… so what does one do when faced with a hurricane and a loose soffit?
If you said, “Get out on the roof with some power tools and fix it!” You’re RIGHT!

Our power was out for only 24 hours, but Matt had the place under control with 8000 watts of generating power running the fridges, my fish tank, his entire living room (including tv, and satellite box), and all sorts of assorted devices. I spent many hours with my newly acquired touchpad making sure that Angry Birds worked well and deciding if the Beats Audio was actually decent or not… more on this later I’m sure. I hope all the East Coast folks fared well from the recent natural events and I promise we will still get the first episode out this Summer… (We still have 24 days or so until the first day of Fall!)
