So, you may have stumbled across our little project looking for news about myself, or heard about it through the grapevine.
Regardless of how you found us, I want to take the time to tell you about what we hope to accomplish with the site and show.
Initially Mike and I thought about creating a show out of sheer boredom, but over the last couple of months, I’ve kind of had an evolution of our original idea.
The goal would be starting an IT user group who doesn’t just consume stuff that one or two people create, but allows the community to be a part of the creation process.
I can hear some of you now. But Matt! I already have a blog and twitter and forums that I visit. True, but do you force yourself to write a blog post because you haven’t done so in a long while? Or how about out of boredom?
We’d like to allow fans of what we’re doing to submit content, such as write articles about something they did, a product they’ve experienced, a movie they saw, or their thoughts on something that is GEEK / TECH related.
And we’re not just talking about blog posts, have a phone that shoots 720p and some decent lighting? Make a video! We’d like to have you the community submit both video content as well as articles so that we can include them in our episodes that we’ll be releasing.
Now remember, anyone can find a piece of software online and show you how easy it is to crack someone’s password, and that’s all fine and dandy. But we’re looking for people who eat, sleep, breathe, and live everything TECH. It’s you who are pioneers in your individual lives, and it’s those experiences we want to allow you to show other geeks!
Writing blog entries has never been one of my strong suits. I always HATED writing show notes for Hak5, so I may post a video outlining what we’re going to try to be doing a little later tonight.
But to start with the initial content creation, we have a great group of guys who are all stoked about the idea, and you may recognize a few of their names.

We want to hear your feedback! Right now this idea is a seed in every one of our minds, and we’ll be watering, and nurturing that seed in the days and weeks to come (yes, that was corny as hell, I’m aware), but we want to know if this plan has any merit to the people that will be experiencing and helping to influence this little project of ours.
From all of us, thanks for sitting through what I’m sure felt like torture.
